Something to post! I made a quick baby hat for a high school friend whose wife just had their first baby. This was a really quick and easy project with super bulky yarn--Baby Clouds. Turned out cute, but I really didn't like working with this yarn and the size 13 needles :( But I'd make it again if I was in a big hurry. The pom pom was hard; I hope the strings don't fall out--I tied it as tight as I could, but who knows! The yarn just had a weird feeling to it as I worked with it--snagged on my fingers a lot.
Anyway, they live in Seattle and we're in Alabama--I imagine they will need this hat much more there than we would here!
